Sticking Points for Cory’s 3X Great Grandparents

I just realized how long it has been since my last post – over a month! I had a great time researching some places in person and was able to uncover useful information a month or so ago, and presently in order to finish the biographies of Cory’s 3X Great Grandparents I’m stuck on some proof in a few spots.

I’ll list here those spots in case someone finds this and has some information to help me add some proof. Until those pieces are sorted out, the bios are on hold as I really want to share things I can prove and not just things I found in other people’s trees. I do have research requests in to various places hoping to find some answers and fingers crossed that works. In the meantime, I need to get serious about bios for my own 4X Great Grandparents as I have some good information there, and then I start to hit some stumbling blocks in all directions so I’ll have to start formulating research plans and finding some answers.

  1. Cory’s Williams Family – the family came from Wales, and I’ve made a DNA connection, but there are a few pieces missing to really add any more information past Cory’s 2X Great Grandparents Owen Williams and Margaret Owens
  2. The Perlette Family – I’ve thankfully uncovered some fun information here that points me to Germany for this branch, but as of yet not enough information to fill in any branches for Phillip Henry Perlette. I also have some good information for Phillip’s wife Anna Shughart, but I’ve found conflicting information for her parents that I need to analyze and figure out
  3. The Neff Family – I was able with the help of two contacts place Daniel Neff with his family, but his wife Sarah Rector who was orphaned as a 4 year old is still proving a bit elusive. I have some current requests out that may give me the details I need – still waiting
  4. Adams Family – I have some decent evidence that they are from Germany, but with the surname of Adams, and in a major metro area I’ve not yet located enough details to trace the family back much further just yet
  5. Peron and Chase Family – this has been another challenge. No family searchers have yet been able to determine the parents for James Peron, and while his wife Esther Chase has a big family tree online, I’m missing any connection that ties her to her parents and some information on her parents that makes sense.

So, while I wait for some of the pieces to come together I’ll keep searching in the archives for the right pieces and will update as soon as I have details. I’ll move on to some of the information I do know with certainty, and will try not to be quite so delinquent in my postings.
