This is the third installment for documentation on my 2X Great Grandparents. Heinrich Frederich Kallsen (Henry Frederick) and Anna Magdalena (Lena) Roeh are the parents of my Great Grandfather Walter William Kallsen. As always, if there is something incorrect, unclear or missing in what I have, I welcome corrections and additions. These documents are always a work in progress as new data sources are found or come online.
Henry and Lena are both immigrants from Germany. We know that Gottlob was born in Niekoppel, Böel, Schleswig-Holsetein, Germany I haven’t yet researched Lena’s roots completely, but her information states that she was born in Eggebek, Schleswig, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Both of these towns are close to current day Denmark and at times in the research were counted in the Danish census.
To supplement some of the information in the biography Henry settled his land as part of the Homestead Act.
