Swiss Research Project – into the 1500’s!

I have loved working with Roots Quest (Formerly Tree Tidings) Research for so much of my German/Swiss ancestors! When you have someone who knows the archives and has practice reading the language it really makes a difference.

With this most recent round of research the focus was on the Kinsey line. The Kinsey line ties into the Albright family and the Albright family ties into the Pocock family, so the connection is to my Great Grandmother Blanche Pocock Mauser.

With this most recent round of research we uncovered the long line of family in Bern, Switzerland. One branch, the Zimmerman family, we have traced back to a baptism in 1580 of Benedict Zimmerman. Benedict is my 11th Great Grandfather and 13 generations back from me. What a great find!
