I have been working on a DNA matching project for Fanny (Petty or Perry) Hagerdon who was the wife of Luther Hagerdon. Fannie left very few paper records as she was born in 1811 and died in 1846. I’ve been working through a series of DNA Matches to see if I can shine any light on who her parents may be and while I have a hypothesis, I decided to go through a tested process to see if my hypothesis made sense.
I took a coaching session with YourDNAGuide and I’m currently working through the process. At the moment, I’m not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse to have so many DNA matches to work with – grin.
Hopefully I can come to a reasonable conclusion before too long and will be able to see if my hypothesis proves out.
If I can determine something on this one, I’ll be excited to try the same process on a couple of other ancestors who have proven elusive!
