2023 Wrapup

My postings have been a bit slower the last few months and that’s related to a few different things, but partially because most of the next biographies I would post require more research. It’s also partially related to time avaialable and that’s been hard to find the last few months.

I have a couple of projects I would like to focus on in 2024. I would really like to further the research on Fanny Perry/Petty who married Luther Hagerdon in about 1830. For a very long time we have thought her maiden name was Perry, but I feel more sure all the time that it is Petty. The families match and there are a couple of DNA matches who really make me think the Petty is correct. I’ll need to do some more searching to find out and hopefully I can find the right records.

I also have an ongoing project to find the Lobners in Germany, and one of these days I’ll find a contact and all the pieces to make those connections. I also need to do some followup and find out some additional details on the Strawn and Chase familes in Cory’s tree who very likely tie into Canada during the Revolutionary War. I think those details are there and it’s been bothering me for a bit that I can’t find them.

Here’s to uncovering some great details in 2024!
