US Daughters – War of 1812

Last week I received notice that my first ancestor application for the US Daughters of the War of 1812 was approved. How exciting!

For this one the first ancestor I submitted Daniel Livermore who is an ancestor of my Great Grandmother Gladys Hagerdon Anderson.

Because of his service in Captain Daniel Root’s company of the New York militia Daniel Livermore’s widow Desiree was granted bounty land in Iowa.

Daniel’s father Abraham was also a Revolutionary War veteran, so this line of the family has served in many conflicts.

So exiciting to have this approved and now for the next submission!
