Somehow the beginning of this year has been really busy. I have a lot of good intentions for genealogy work, and so far, not much progress. Not for a lack of projects to do that’s for sure.
Sometimes it just takes an event of some sort to get things motivated again. I recently received notice from my DAR registrar that the 6 supplemental applications I have pending are FINALLY working to the top of the pile. Some of them have been waiting for a year and a half – YIKES.
As those finally come through, that means I need to get started again on proving a few more of my DAR patriots š I have a couple that probably need just a little research, and a few that need some tougher analysis, so once these are in I’ll have some motivation to get those working. I also need to work on a War of 1812 application. It sounds like the one I submitted needs harder evidence than I can find to prove one of the generations, so back to putting together documents. I also have some for the Farmers Association and an additional piece for the First Families of Nebraska that are on my list. Gosh – I really do need to get busy. Maybe this will be my spark to get going on some of them again
