Amariah Gustin and Alcy Trippett are the parents of my 3X Great Grandmother Elizabeth Gustin who is the mother of my 2X Great Grandfather James Buchanon Bayne and then connecting to my Great Grandmother Marjorie Bayne Munter.
Amariah served in the War of 1812, and eventually settled in Hardin County, IL after a time in Switzerland County, IN. I’ve put in my current believe that he is the son of Alpheus Gustin and Mary Aberdy and it looks correct although it could use a few more piece of proof that I’ll be working to obtain.
The women of this time period are challenging to track. I have a few things on Alcy, and not as much as I might hope. She is also on my research project list in trying to determine more of her details with some certainty. At this point we are back to the late 1700’s and early 1800’s where the records just aren’t the same as the present day – new challenges – grin.
