Fielding Hazelrig and Lydia Priscilla Harvey are the parents of my 3X Great Grandmother Sylvia Hazelrigg, through her daughter Lena Livermore and my Great Grandmother Gladys Hagerdon Anderson. The Harvey and Hazelrig families both have interesting stories that will be explored as I post additional info.
Fielding is Lydia’s first husband and after he went to California in the gold rush and was never heard from again Lydia remarried Squire Graham. Sylvia is the only daughter of Fielding and Lydia. The interesting thing is that it doesn’t look like Fielding died enroute to California as we see him in the federal census up through 1880 and then I’m not sure where or when he died. I’m not even sure if he married again, but have put some feelers out in Elko County, NV where he was last reported.
