James Knox Hagerdon and Louisiana Wood Vawter are the parents of my 2X Great Grandfather Luther Hagerdon and the grandparents of my Great Grandmother Gladys Hagerdon Anderson. This family has been a bit more challenging to follow than some others, so please feel free to let me know if there are corrections, or additional data.
James was an Oregon Trail Pioneer as a young child and some of his story is in the book A Lovely and Comfortable Heritage Lost by Ellen Osborn Louisiana has an interesting story as she lost both of her biological parents as a young girl and it seems she moved from Indiana to Iowa on her own to be a domestic servant for a family.
