This post is the first in my series of the 6th generation of my family tree. I count myself as generation 1. That means that Johann Jacob and Eva Katharina are my 3X Great Grandparents. They are the grandparents of my Great Grandfather Ben Mauser.
We know that Johann Jacob was born in Burgstall, Germany and died in Venango, Nebraska. His first wife Eva Katharina was born and died in Unterbrüden, Wurtenburg, Germany. Johann Jacob then married Eva Katharina’s half sister who came with him to the United States and died in Amherst, Colorado.
I have just a couple of photos to include thanks to a cousin who traveled to Germany and took photos of what she was told was the Mauser home before they left for the United States. As you’ll see in the document, with the help of a professional researcher I have been able to trace the tree for Johann Jacob and Eva Katharina back to the early 1700’s with potential to search back even further .
