James “Henry” Peron is Cory’s 2X Great Grandfather and potentially a Civil War Veteran. His line to James is through his Grandmother Mildred Seibert Lobner. Mildred’s parents are Harry Seibert and Garnet Peron. Garnet’s parents are James Peron and Esther Chase.
James Heinrich was born in New York in 1838.
I haven’t yet confirmed that James was active in the civil war as we haven’t found enough records to prove one way or the other, but there are Peron’s from the area that do have service records. This will be an ongoing investigation.
