One of my grandpa Bob’s favorite stories to tell was of “Belinda” the car. Bob and some friends had an old 1917 Model T Ford that they purchased for $1.50. They had no money for gas, and would check for any fuel left in the gasoline tank hoses and would cruise around on whatever gas they could find. When they ran out of gas they would “park” the car where it was. They would push it back to the station the next day and try again. It sounds like they had a lot of fun and adventure with Belinda!
